Ilsington House has been in our family for 200 years. A gorgeous family home for over twenty years, and newly refurbished, we are delighted to offer our farmhouse for holiday lets for the first time from 30th June 2012. Floor Plan

Bedrooms - With three large double bedrooms, one large twin room, and one small single bedroom, the house comfortably sleeps 9. Cots can be provided on request. All the rooms are decorated with antique and traditional furniture, with charming shabby-chic details. We have two large bathrooms, both with deep baths, and one with a power shower.

Kitchen - Fully equipped with traditional aga, electric cooker and oven, microwave, dishwasher, and washing machine. Find culinary accoutrements such as decent knives and crockery in the cupboards or drawers. On request and for a small extra charge, we can stock the kitchen with the basics on arrival; fresh bread, butter, tea, coffee, milk, salt and pepper, plus excellent local cheeses and chutney. The kitchen also has a large country-farmhouse style table that comfortable seats 8.

Living room - Both sitting rooms have cosy open-fire log burners. Both sitting rooms have flatscreen TVs, DVD players and iPod docks.

Dining room - The grand dining room has a large dining table that comfortably seats 12. On chilly nights light the open-fire log burner. The house also has a large hedged private back-garden and outdoor patio dining area, which seats 8.

Gardens - The house is set in extensive grounds, with an avenue of trees leading to the front door. The backgarden is more private, and perfect for sunbathing and outdoor dining.

Private parking - This is right outside the farmhouse. You can comfortably park 6 cars.

Activities

Coast/Beach: The Jurassic Coast is 20 minutes drive.

Golf: Several golf clubs in the surrounding area, the closest 10 minutes drive.

Travel: Bournemouth is nearest airport. Rail service to/from Waterloo at Dorchester South (10 minutes drive from the farmhouse. Taxis easily arranged).

Distances
Dorchester 10 miles. Salisbury 40 miles.

Further details
Traditional bakers, butchers and greengrocers in Shaftesbury. Several banks. Tesco and Co-op supermarkets.

Local attractions include Hardy's Cottage, etc.
